Our Pledge
HackLantic is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or technical experience level.
Expected Behaviour
- ✦ Be respectful and considerate in all interactions.
- ✦ Collaborate openly and communicate constructively.
- ✦ Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour.
- ✦ Be mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants.
- ✦ Alert organizers if you notice violations or anyone in distress.
Unacceptable Behaviour
- ✕ Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- ✕ Offensive verbal comments related to personal characteristics.
- ✕ Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
- ✕ Sustained disruption of talks, workshops, or other events.
- ✕ Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
- ✕ Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour.
Consequences
Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the event, and reporting to relevant authorities.
Reporting & Help
If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have any concerns, please contact the organizers immediately. Your report will be end-to-end encrypted and handled securely.
